Today we goofed off watching news shows.  I started with Meet the Press and we watched Fareed Zakaria.  Completed the Jersey Shore jigsaw puzzle.

Decided to go to the laundromat in Beach Haven.  We saw Wayne, the guy we've run into for a couple years at Buckalews.  Hit Murphy's and came back for a G&T.

Tacos for dinner.  Stayed home, watched Steven Hawkings on TV.  A pretty lazy day all in all.

Slept late.  Started this journal to keep track of our time on LBI.  Learning about the application RedNotebook.

We went for lunch at the Spray Beach Inn.  I had a turkey club wrap and Liz had a BLT.  They served fresh fried potato chips with sandwiches.  Food was good but we think more expensive than the Sandbar.

Afterward we went to the beach, I took a nap, Liz read.  Some guy caught a small shark surf fishing.

New people moved in downstairs.  Young couple with 4 young kids, 2 boys, 2 girls.  We had our G&T's, toasted Steve Riccio and Beth on their wedding.

Planned dinner at Calabria thinking it wouldn't be too busy but it was an hour wait.  Made some calls and there was no wait at the Boathouse so we went there.  I had a sword fish special that was really good, Liz had the seafood trio.

Went to Buckalew's and saw the DiaBLOW Sandwich Band.  They were playing club/disco music.  When they finally did the old rock song "Vehicle", they plowed through it so fast, like double tempo; the singer sucks.  Way, way overrated band.  Female singer was wearing a red sequined dress.  WTF?  This is the shore.  It's official - they suck!

Bought Bill the bartender from the Sandbar a beer, he came over talked to us for a while.  He lives here but moves to Stuart, FL for the winter.  Works at a place called Finn's or something.  On our way out we saw his work buddy Anthony who is a teacher when not bartending at the Sandbar.

Got a turkey sub from Wawa for lunch.  Ray was annoyed by various teenage girls.  Went to the beach around 2pm.  Ray did lot's of boogie boarding.  Liz listened to Dharma talks.  Watched people get married on the beach.

G&T's, barbecued Hamburgers and Hot Dogs on the smokey Joe.  Terrace Tavern in the evening for the Pickels Duo.


A great day!

It rained in the AM, so we slept late.  Went decided to go to  Hand's to purchase a Smokey Joe grill and ended up buying a bunch of other crap, including a Jersey Shore puzzle.

We hung at the house, assembled grill, puzzle and when the weather cleared up we brought our G&T's to the beach.

I grilled up some Pork Chops on the brand new Smokey Joe, Liz made Wild Rice and green beans for dinner cooked.

We rode bikes to the Fox's to say goodbye to Lorraine and Mario.  John and Deanna watched Jersey Shore.  We drank and BS'd on the deck.  John accused Liz of voting for Obama.

Went to beach but we got rained off and decided to go shopping.

Went shopping off Island at the Shop Rite.  Had dinner at El Tenampa, a Mexican restaurant that was pretty bad.  We had asked people in the parking lot if it was good and they raved.  We thought it sucked.

Beach day.  Flies on the beach got real bad by late afternoon and we had to leave.  The flies ignored Deep Woods Off so all I could do was whack them with my flip-flop.

We surrendered after awhile and went back to have our G&T's.

Black Whale for dinner.  I had broiled seafood combo, Liz had crabcakes.  Went to Buckalew's for Irish night with Mike Byrne.

Rode bikes to the Sand Bar for lunch before the beach.  I had the tuna taco and Liz had a chicken Caesar wrap.  Stopped at Murphy's and bought basil.
